They are there. Here's a picture of one. There is a homeless woman who lives off and on in the park. A man once was yelling at her calling her "Maddie" and this drawing looks a bit like her. She kept rabbits in a hidden part of the park until they started a construction project. Whenever anyone got close to them she would stand and stare intently. I never saw her confront anyone, even when her well-hidden rabbits were about to be discovered.

A red Toyota triplet. I've noticed how cars in parking lots tend to gravitate together, and this is a good example. I believe it's unconscious. Maybe it happens more often when people work in the same building and develop patterns after a period of time.

Mystery Skeleton On Ice

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Marine scientists in Canada and abroad are puzzled by bizarre photographs that appear to show the skeleton of a large mammal jutting out of an iceberg that recently drifted past Newfoundland's east coast.

That's as definitive as federal Fisheries and Oceans research scientist Gary Stenson can be about the photos. He has no DNA sample.

"It looks like a mammal," he said.

If it was prehistoric creature, Stenson says it may have fallen into a crevasse and froze.

Ghost Ship Surfaces in SF

Last week the citizens of Gotham were disturbed to see a ship "sinking" in the waters around New York. This week in San Francisco, residents were shocked to see a long-lost shipwreck re-emerge from its watery tomb.

During a low tide on Monday, the wooden skeleton of the sunken ship mysteriously appeared above the waterline on San Francisco's Ocean Beach, not far from the city's zoo.

If your organs go to heaven then tattoos must go as well. What if you had hip replacement surgery, will the stainless steel bits make the jump? If you can take stainless steel why not take the gun they couldn't pry from your cold, dead fingers?

The distillation of yards of information to inches is what Cartographers can do to make relevant data clear. The brain area was more active among the altruistic group

Scientists say they have found the part of the brain that predicts whether a person will be selfish or an altruist.

Altruism - the tendency to help others without obvious benefit to oneself - appears to be linked to an area called the posterior superior temporal sulcus.

Using brain scans, the US investigators found this region related to a person's real-life unselfish behaviour.

The Duke University Medical Center study on 45 volunteers is published in Nature Neuroscience.

I've been working on a full account of the Anacapa adventure. Crumpt, Whistlestick, Fripp, Pez and yours truly embarked on a journey to survey arch-tipped island in the California archipelago with unexpected results.

The following factors were involved: A sea witch, Wild Boar wine, something precious overboard, skull-smacked by the ship's boom, unearthly screaming, strange music.

It was kept quiet. The Thaumturgic Cartographers went to Giant Rock and the Integratron for a second time. I just finished a CD of the music and spoken word recordings.

There is a new sister at the Integratron. She kept us out - even though we paid for both days - she kept us out until 4 pm to squeeze any last dollars from tourists wandering in. Then she wanted us out by 11 am the next day. There were new plastic mugs for sale with "Integratron" on them, as well as keychains and pins.

It has changed. We still received a wonderful crystal sound bath by Nancy, but the Integratron as we knew it, may be gone.

Giant Rock and little people, Kookries and aliens will unfold naturally.
